Each year, Annandale Village hosts several key fundraising events. These events serve as a source of funding to allow us to continue to provide vital programs and services people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.
We are honored by your participation and especially grateful to the sponsors and volunteers of these special events.
KISS-A-PIG (People Invested in Giving)
Annandale’s Kiss-A-Pig Campaign is a totally HOGsome event designed to increase the awareness of developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. In addition, funds raised through the Kiss-A-Pig program help to provide a comprehensive range of programs and support services for individuals and families living with and affected by developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.
The word “PIG” is not a derogatory term. For the purposes of this unique special event, the word “PIG” is an acronym meaning People Invested in Giving.
From August 30 – November 1, 2012 sixteen community leaders, representing a variety of businesses, community organizations, and professions are serving as candidates vying for the opportunity to pucker up and kiss a pig in support of men and women with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other forms of developmental disabilities. Each dollar donated equals one vote; the more generous the donation, the more votes for the candidate. The candidate that receives the most votes, or dollars raised, by InHOGuration Day, November 1st, will be named the winner of the Kiss-A-Pig campaign!

ANNANDALE’S JAZZY THING
On Saturday, April 27, 2013, America’s largest dance and concert hall, Wild Bill’s in Duluth, will play host to Annandale Village’s 20th Annual signature event, Annandale’s Jazzy Thing.
Each year, more than 800 attendees of Annandale’s Jazzy Thing experience an evening of exquisite cuisine, world-class casino games, an exciting silent auction, live entertainment, dance, music, and the Arts Bazaar featuring the unique and beautiful artwork created by people with developmental disabilities and other local artists. Recognized as one of the most anticipated and best charitable events in our community, our 20th annual event promises to be fantastic.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised through this important event allows Annandale Village the opportunity to provide programs and services to individuals and families that would otherwise have little to no access to vital services. In the past five years, Annandale has provided more than one million dollars in fee assistance to families that have been impacted by the poor economy, and could not afford some or all of the services of Annandale. Therefore, the significance of this year’s fundraising event cannot be underestimated. We hope you will choose to support this important event by becoming a sponsor or ticket holder.
