Cumulatively, our ten candidates raised a total of $27,649

For seven weeks, ten community leaders have been raising awareness and funds for adults with disabilities as part of Annandale Village’s annual Kiss-A-Pig (People Invested in Giving) campaign. On Thursday evening, the candidates gathered at the InHOGuration event with their friends and family to witness the much anticipated kissing of the pig by the winner, Denise Brinson of the City of Suwanee.

The week prior to the InHOGuration proved to be an exciting race as the top two candidates, Denise Brinson and Angela Veugeler of Veugeler Design Group & Suwanee Magazine, battled it out for the winning spot, both surpassing their personal fundraising goals. In the end, Denise pulled ahead and raised a total of $6,355 to have the honor of kissing the pig. “Because Annandale Village is such a great organization, raising money and spreading awareness in the community about Annandale has been one of the easiest things I’ve ever done,” said Denise during the swineing-in ceremony.

Cumulatively, our ten candidates raised a total of $27,649 to support Annandale’s programs and services for men and women with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other forms of disabilities as well as those with acquired brain injuries. Adam Pomeranz, our President and CEO, stated, “The money raised during this program is important to fulfilling our founder’s dream of allowing our Villagers to age in place and never have to leave their home due to lack of funding. The awareness raised in the community by the candidates about who we are and what we do is priceless.” We are forever grateful to all our candidates for their efforts during the campaign and to everyone that contributed on their behalf. You truly embody the meaning of PIG: People Invested in Giving!
