This event is for adults ages 21+.

Mr. Allen is a Georgia native, raised in Griffin, Georgia. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the Harvard Business School. He also served our country as an officer in the US Army Counterintelligence Corps. After an impressive 27 year career in investment management that began in 1963, Sam co-founded GLOBALT, Inc., an investment management company focusing on U.S. companies with significant global operations, in 1990. GLOBALT was acquired by Synovus Financial Corporation in 2002 where Allen remained as CEO and then Chairman until 2012.

Sam’s incredible philanthropic work career is equally as impressive as his unbelievable professional career. He is involved in several non-profit organizations, including The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Public Policy, YearUp and, of course, Annandale Village.

Mr. Allen’s passion for individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries is evident in his leadership at Annandale Village. Serving as a board member since 2006, Sam joined Annandale’s Board of Trustees thanks in large part to his love for, and devotion to, his second cousin, David, who was once a resident at Annandale. In these past 15 years, Sam has been an integral part of Annandale’s strategic direction by helping Annandale establish an endowment, advising on various investment policies and serving as a Co-Chair of several committees.

Annandale is pleased to honor Sam Allen at the Inaugural Annandale Village Golf Tournament, and we hope you will join us in supporting Annandale Village and Sam.

Individual player spots and foursomes will be available for purchase in late February or early March, if spots are still available.
