United Community Bank Event Benefits Annandale Village

On April 27, United Community Bank employees entertained thousands of customers and friends with their 19th Annual live production of The Bankers Hour. The tradition has always been to donate the money received from contributions and ticket sales to charities throughout the markets served by United Community Bank in Georgia, western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. This year, United announced that the total amount received raised was $29,250 and will be equally divided among all the communities United serves.  Annandale Village is proud to have been chosen as the sole recipient from Gwinnett County.

For the fourth consecutive year, the D. Scott Hudgens Center for Skilled Nursing of Annandale Village has received the prestigious “five-star” ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Nursing Homes”, released today. Of more than 16,000 nursing homes in the United States, the Center ranked highest among all nursing homes in the state of Georgia, and is ranked among the top one-percent of all nursing homes in the United States.

Annandale Basketball Teams Score Medals

Congratulations to all of our Special Olympic Teams that participated in the Area 18 Basketball Tournament at Suwanee Sports Academy.  The athletes put in a lot of practice time to build up their skills and compete at a tremendous level.  Annandale’s three teams brought home First Place, Second Place and Fourth Place Medals.

Annandale’s Jackson House Day Program Named “Best Program”

Annandale Village’s Jackson House Medicaid Waiver Day Program was selected as “Best Day Program” as a result of a survey amongst Region 3 Support Coordinators and Medicaid! To be recognized as the “Best Program” among hundreds of Day Programs within Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale counties is an outstanding achievement.

Southern Ballet Theatre to Perform at Annandale Village

Southern Ballet Theatre will be performing  “A Very Grinchy Christmas” at Annandale Village on Friday evening, December 14 at 6:30 p.m.  The performance is an annual holiday tradition at Annandale in which the talented performers dance to the delight of attendees in the Patricia M. Brown Center for Programs on the campus of Annandale Village. This is a free event and members of the community are invited to attend this grand production.

InHOGuration To Determine Kiss-A-Pig Winner

On Thursday, November 1, the polls will close, the votes will be tallied, and one candidate for HAMerica’s Vote will have the unique honor to pucker up and kiss a pig as the winner of Annandale’s inaugural Kiss-A-Pig Campaign.  Officials at Kiss-A-Pig Headquarters (Annandale Village) say it is a tight race to the finish line to see who will come out on top of this special election.  “A slim margin of 146 votes currently separates the top two candidates” said Keith Fenton, Annandale’s Chief Development Officer.  “With two days remaining, each vote cast and every dollar donated will determine the winner.  More importantly, each dollar generously contributed will support vital programs and services for men and women with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.”  Click here to cast your vote and donate to your favorite candidate.
